Prestwick Aircraft Maintenance Ltd (PAML) is one of six heavy aircraft maintenance providers for our client Ryanair, carrying out maintenance on Ryanair’s entire fleet of New Generation Boeing 737-800 series aircraft, at our Hangar facility located at Prestwick International Airport, Ayrshire, Scotland.

Ryanair is Europe’s favourite low fares airline, operating more than 3,300 daily flights from over 90 bases, connecting 230 destinations in over 37 countries, and operating a fleet of over 570 Boeing 737 aircraft.

As part of our continuous growth plan, we are seeking to recruit Trainee sheet metal workers for our 16-week training program. 

Duties will include, but are not limited to:
•    Carry out aircraft component sheet metal repairs.
•    Maintain a high standard of work in all tasks.
•    Complete the appropriate documentation.
•    Comply with all company procedures, policies, regulations and MOE.
•    Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
•    Ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to.
•    Any other tasks as directed by Supervisor / Manager.

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications:
•    A knowledge of aircraft sheet metal repair would be desirable.
•    Previous MRO component or A/C sheet metal experience would be an advantage.
•    HNC / HND or equivalent qualification in engineering / mechanical is essential.
•    Background in engineering/maintenance is desirable.
•    Exhibit a positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
•    Excellent spoken and written English is essential.
•    Must be willing to work shifts (including nights).
•    Flexible approach to working in a fast-changing environment.
•    Successful candidate must provide a clean Disclosure Scotland to work at UK Airports.
•    All applicants must have the unrestricted right to work in the UK.
