Description

Ryanair Engineering delivered by SIAM (Spanish International Aircraft Maintenance) have a Planning Engineer position to join our Heavy Maintenance team in Seville. SIAM provides heavy maintenance services to the Ryanair fleet. Ryanair is Europe’s favourite low fares airline, operating more than 1,600 daily flights (over 500,000 per year) from 68 bases, across 1,600 low fare routes, connecting 186 destinations in 30 countries and on a fleet of over 520 modern Boeing 737NG, Boeing 737-8200 Game Changer and Airbus A320 aircraft and will continue to expand by more than 200 aircraft by 2025.

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Technical Standards Engineer to join our newly established Technical Standards Department. Reporting to the PAML Technical Standards Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with EASA/UK CAA regulations, while also driving continuous improvement and standardization across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the preparation and amendment of the organization’s procedures and standard practices, ensuring compliance with EASA/UKCAA regulations.

• Promote and uphold the Safety Policy and Objectives within the organization.

• Support maintenance teams to ensure adherence to regulations and internal procedures.

• Liaise with Compliance and Safety Departments to ensure process and procedure compliance.

• Collaborate with Production Planning to manage work limitations and capabilities effectively.

• Standardize processes and procedures across all PAML sites.

• Assess the suitability and performance of subcontractors and suppliers for quality assurance.

• Evaluate alternative tools/materials and manage associated documentation.

• Assess proposed certifying and support staff applications for approval.

• Implement human factor principles within the Technical Standards function.

• Oversee the performance and development of all PAML production staff.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage changes within PAM.

• Review technical documentation following maintenance revisions.

• Undertake any additional duties as directed by the Technical Standards Manager or their deputy.

Requirements

Experience and Qualifications:

• Strong initiative and enthusiasm, with a commitment to professional integrity.

• Excellent planning and organizational skills.

• Essential aircraft and/or workshop experience/knowledge.

• Basic understanding of PAML Planning & Document Control functions is an advantage.

• Working knowledge of Part 145 / Part 66 / Part 21 (Subparts J & G) / Part-IS is preferred.

• Familiarity with AMOS is desirable.

• Strong written and oral communication skills.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel and Word) and a working knowledge of Smartsheet.

• Must meet security requirements for the primary airport location.

 

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an Aviation Maintenance Repair Organisation is preferred.

• Minimum of two years’ experience in the aeronautical industry.

• Knowledge of Safety Management System requirements and root cause analysis methodologies.

• Confident interpersonal communication skills for interactions with colleagues, customers, and authorities.

• Highly self-motivated and proactive with a willingness to drive learning opportunities.

• Ability to work independently and take responsibility.

• Flexible approach to work, adapting to operational requirements.

• Ability to travel to all PAML sites and Ryanair group companies.

• Valid passport with the unrestricted right to travel within the UK/European Union.

• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
