Ryanair, Europe’s Largest Airline Group, is now hiring a Technical Operations Manager within our Ryanair Engineering HQ.

Reporting to the Deputy Director of Maintenance, the candidate will lead the Maintenance Control and Bridge team in the delivery of safe, high-quality aircraft maintenance and industry leading standards in all aspects Maintenance.

Responsibilities:Organise, measure and control the performance of the Maintenance Control team in support of company goals of a safe operation by offering; 

  • Industry Leading Technical Dispatch Reliability
  • Low Deferred Defect Ratio
  • Efficient use of manpower resources
  • Reduce EU261
  • Oversight to lead and develop the Maintenance Control department
  • Safe and efficient management of AOG downtimes to minimize EU261 financial impact on the company
  • Management and reduction of operationally restrictive defects (Cat 1, Airstairs, APU)
  • Ensure that the Ryanair fleet operates in a safe and airworthy condition, in compliance with EASA requirements
  • Ensure maintenance control are manned to the correct manpower levels

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience in an airline/MRO in a similar/relevant role.
  • Management/supervisory experience and advantage.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of Boeing 737NG/8200 and Airbus A320.
  • Flexible approach with project delivery being a high priority.
  • Excellent communication skills, both in-person and by electronic means.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and to manage a team.
  • Strong attention to detail in multi-tasking situations and the ability to deliver results to tight timelines.
  • Good computer literacy (Excel, word and power point).
  • A relevant technician qualification (B1/B2) or relevant engineering degree.
