Ryanair, is recruiting for a PR & Communications Manager to join our Communications Team with responsibilty for managing our bustling press office and driving corporate media coverage to support our business objectives, as well as managing daily ops across the Comms Team. 

The successful candidate will be based in our Dublin HQ, where they will work closely with our Senior Management and C-suite and will need to have a ‘can-do’ attitude, be able to think on your feet and use your own initiative, juggle multiple tasks at once, and have exceptional attention-to-detail, as well as having a genuine interest in news and current affairs.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage Ryanair’s bustling press office, including assessment of media queries, advisement on comms approach, liaison with other key departments, preparation of statements, and coverage monitoring/reporting.
  • Develop, deliver and maintain a corporate communications strategy that drives high quality media coverage in support of Ryanair’s key business objectives across the 36 markets in which we operate. 
  • Prepare press releases, presentations, briefing packs, media statements, and other key press materials, ensuring an on-time and error free delivery.
  • Manage day-to-day operations across the Communications Team, ensuring weekly actions are completed to a high standard and delivered by deadline.
  • Advise senior management and C-suite on media engagement.
  • Build and maintain active relationships with key stakeholders including media, business partners, industry groups, etc.
  • Keep the business up to date on current affairs and industry news, identifying PR/Comms opportunities that support our key business objectives.

Requirements

  • Up to 3 years’ experience working in PR, Comms, Journalism, or related field 
  • Knowledge of international media landscapes and strong mainstream media contacts. 
  • Highly organised with experience working in an agile, fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Confident presenter with exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Impeccable attention to detail.
  • Strong business acumen and ability to think critically. 
  • An interest in the aviation industry
