Malta Air part of Ryanair Group is currently recruiting for a Junior Accountant to join Europe’s largest airline group.
The successful candidate will be based in our Malta based Finance Team
Main responsibilities
Prepare monthly management accounts.
Participate in monthly variance analysis against budgets in a manner that facilitates management decision making and drives improvement as well as cost savings.
Tracking of balance sheet accounts and preparation of monthly reconciliations.
Assist in the preparation of entity-level yearly budgets.
Support the delivery of KPIs and forward-looking projections to the Group on an ongoing basis.
Provide assistance to senior finance staff on a range of projects across the Group on an ad hoc basis.
Close internal and external audit requests.
Requirements
A part-qualified Accountant currently in the last stages of studying for ACCA (or equivalent) and, ideally, some relevant accounting experience.
Excellent analytical skills are essential. The individual is a motivated, reliable and adaptable team member who can proactively contribute to delivering solutions.
Candidate must be willing to travel for work and should be able to exhibit a high degree of initiative as well as outstanding interpersonal and communication skills.
The candidate must have very strong Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint skills.
