Description

Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Head of Risk to join Europe’s largest airline group.

This is an excellent time to join Ryanair as we look to grow to over 800 aircraft and 300m guests per year within the next 10 years. 

  • Reporting to the Director of Safety & Security and Chief Risk Officer and working closely with the Safety, Security and Compliance Managers and a Team of Technical Experts, the Head of Risk will:
  • Support the CRO in setting and driving the safety, security and compliance risk agenda for Ryanair, including further enhancement of Risk Management Processes.
  • Ensure Ryanair’s operational Risk Management Strategy, Policy and Processes remain robust and effective and, where possible, are continuously improved.  This will include the review and measurement of key risk and performance indicators, risk modelling, assessments and oversight.
  • Work with Senior Management to ensure risk management principles and practices remain embedded in operational decision-making and processes.
  • Provide a comprehensive view of Ryanair’s operational risk landscape and develop risk profiles to facilitate comparative analysis.
  • Work closely with Regulatory bodies and other aviation stakeholders to ensure regulations are proportionate and appropriate and to stay informed on changes in the risk landscape.
  • Leverage technological development to further enhance management and oversight, and to improve productivity and innovation.
  • Perform risk assessments and draft risk reports on behalf of the CRO for Senior Management and Safety, Security and Compliance Committees.
     

Requirements

  • 5 years experience in a similar risk management role for a large organisation.
  • Strong understanding and experience of risk management frameworks and practices.
  • Strong leadership skills and should be analytical, detail oriented and have the ability to forecast future trends that may impact risks.
  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills. 
  • Experience in developing and implementing risk management policies and processes.
