The Role
The Infrastructure team are currently recruiting for a Desktop Security Specialist which will reporting to our Global Desktop Client Manager.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the ongoing Desktop Security posture and future planning needs of the company’s desktop environment.
- Liase with Information Security team and wider IT teams for security requirements.
- Plan and ensure Windows/Office 365 and other Desktop applications are up to date.
- Planning with wider Desktop team, continuous software update roll outs.
- Monitor and address security vulnerabilities in our Desktop/Mac environment.
- Ensure new hardware builds and end user devices meet compliance.
- Excellent Working Knowledge of Active Directory.
- Responsible for some areas of Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager/Intune.
- Comfortable supporting Windows/Mac Environments.
Requirements
- 3+ years hand on desktop support experience in a busy IT environment.
- Experience with Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager is necessary, with experience of planned Windows/Office 365 and software roll outs.
- Intune experience is advantageous but not required.
- Experience in remote and on-site PC fault diagnosis/troubleshooting
- Strong troubleshooting skills with PC hardware.
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Win10/11, Microsoft365, Citrix, Printing, Symantec Antivirus, VPN, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Intune.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills are essential.
- Good team player.
- Ability to work unsupervised and meet deadlines.
- Scripting skills in PowerShell.
