Ryanair Labs are currently recruiting for a AWS Cloud Engineer to join Europe’s Largest Airline Group!

The Role:
 

We are looking for an AWS Cloud Engineer to join our data team. In this role, you will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to design and maintain scalable data solutions on the AWS platform. You’ll ensure our data infrastructure is secure, efficient, and capable of handling complex data workflows, analytics, and storage needs.
 

Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Design, deploy, and maintain AWS-based data infrastructure solutions that support data processing and analytics. 
  • Monitor and optimize cloud solutions for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., CodePipeline, CodeBuild, GitHub Actions, or similar) for deploying infrastructure, containers, and data workflows.
  • Ensure data security and compliance, implementing best practices in data governance, encryption, and access management (e.g., using AWS KMS and IAM).
  • Implement and maintain infrastructure for Databricks
  • Build and maintain containerized runtime environments for data services and microservices using Amazon ECS and EKS, ensuring scalability, security, and high availability.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AWS data services and applications.
  • Develop and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions

Requirements

  • Proven experience with AWS data services.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation or Terraform.
  • Strong understanding of database and data warehousing concepts and their application in AWS.
  • Scripting skills for automation.
  • Knowledge of security best practices for data, including encryption (AWS KMS), Identity and Access Management (IAM)
  • Experience in CI/CD pipeline creation for data applications using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, or similar tools.
  • Deep Knowledge about networking in AWS is a plus
