Description

Crewlink Ireland, in cooperation with their client airline Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Chief Pilot to manage the Challenger fleet of Europe’s Largest Airline Group.
This is an excellent time to join Ryanair as we look to grow to over 800 aircraft and 300m guests within the next 10 years. 
Based in London Stansted Airport, you will oversee a unique operation of 3 Challenger Aircraft with a 4th aircraft due for delivery in April ’26. The fleet is based in STN and BGY and a pilot HC of 28, expected to grow in the next 12 months. The fleet of Challengers run an Engineering support role for Ryanair by transporting parts, engineers and crew in response to AOGs across Ryanair’s network of 230+ airports. This is a vital role ensuring that Ryanair’s EU261 liabilities are low and our guests reach their destinations with minimal disruption as well as ad-hoc management flights.
 

Key Responsilities;

  • Control and supervision of all Challenger Flight Operations
  • Ensure compliance with all international standards, safety and regulation.
  • Implementation and supervision of company SOP’s
  • Ensuring all Challenger aircraft are operated in line with regulatory requirements and that all operational and safety management goals are met;
  • Ensuring that all manuals under their responsibility are up to date and acceptable in line with the relevant authority. 
  • Keeping the Accountable Manager informed of all safety and regulatory issues
  • Leading a dedicated team of pilot professionals responsible for all scheduled and ad-hoc flight operations including headcount planning and training oversight.
  • Regularly operating flights inclduing oversight of management flights 
  • Ad-hoc management duties and weekly reporting

Requirements

  • Hold the unrestricted right to live and work in the UK and travel freely throughout the entire Ryanair network.
  • Valid EASA/ UK ATPL and Class 1 Medical.
  • Previous Post Holder/Safety Management experience or experience in a similar role would be highly advantageous 
  • Minimum 3500 flight hours with at least 1000 PIC in a Multi Crew Multi Engine Aircraft 
  • Previous Business jet experience, or hold a current Challenger Type Rating would be highly regarded
  • Competency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment 
  • People management skills
