Purchasing and Materials
The Materials team oversees all aspects of material and part usage within the Ryanair network and the extended network of approved repair shops.
From the sourcing of new parts, the management of the repair and overhaul of a multi-million-euro pool of spares and the associated logistical demands of supporting over 600 aircraft across over 95 bases.
They provide Line and Heavy maintenance material support on AOGs, deferred defects, A-Check & C-Checks – ensuring there is sufficient inventory to maintain the Ryanair fleet of Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
They also manage the new aircraft equipment and claim all warranty entitlements for the aircraft and parts alike. Negotiate contracts and supply/repair agreements with various OEMs.
The Materials department play a vital role within the engineering department and the success of the airline.
