Description

Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Lead Maintenance Programme Engineer to join Europe’s Largest Airline Group! This is a very exciting time to join Ryanair as we look to expand our operation to 800 aircraft and 300 million guests within the next 10 years. 

The successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Programme Manager and will be based in Ryanair’s Engineering Office in Dublin. This is a desk-based role and represents a fantasic opportunity for an experienced aviation professional looking to further develop their career within Ryanair.

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Maintenance Programme Team in the absence of the Maintenance Programme Manager.
  • Support the Maintenance Programme Manager in resolving AMP related queries and ensuring effective closure of findings.
  • Review of the Maintenance Planning Document (MPD) to ensure accurate implementation into Ryanair’s Group Maintenance Programme for B737NG/8200, A320, CL 3500 fleets, as applicable. 
  • Submitting and obtaining Aviation Authority approval of Ryanair’s Group Maintenance Programmes when required.
  • Ensure that the maintenance programme is optimised to maintain the high safety levels, excellent dispatch reliability and avoid/mitigate operational impact of in-service defects. 
  • Work in accordance with Continuing Airworthiness Management Exposition (CAME) and company manual procedures.
  • Review of Heavy Maintenace findings and the identification of solutions for repeat occurences.
  • Development of detailed reports to support the optimisation of Ryanair’s Maintenance Programmes.
  • Providing input to the B737NG/8200/A320 Industry Steering Committee (ISC) regarding on-going optimisation of the MRB/MPD.

Requirements

  • Relevant Engineering Degree or EASA Part 66 maintenance license. 
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Technical Services, CAMO or Maintenance Programme role; previous Maintenance Programme experience is essential. 
  • Strong understanding of EASA Part M, Part CAMO and Part 145 regulation.
  • Technical knowledge of Boeing 737 systems and/or Airbus 320 experience would be an advantage.
  • Knowledge of MSG – 3 & Maintenance Programme optimisation methodologies (e.g. SASMO, OPTIMA) would be an advantage. 
  • Strong knowledge of EASA regulatory requirements. 
  • Good working knowledge of AMOS would be preferable. 
  • Excellent communication skills with experience writing and reviewing technical instructions. 
  • Excellent planning skills with the ability to quickly analyse problems and implement practical solutions.
