Description
Prestwick Aircraft Maintenance Limited (PAM) is the main heavy aircraft maintenance provider for Ryanair, carrying out maintenance on Ryanair’s fleet of 272 New Generation Boeing 737-800 series aircraft, at our Hangar facility at Prestwick International Airport, Ayrshire, Scotland.
Reports to: Workshop Supervisor
Location: Glasgow Prestwick International Airport
Duties Include:
- Coats surfaces of aircraft with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin or other material, using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other devices.
- Removes old paint from aircraft/components using orbital sander – liquid paint remover and scraper.
- Good experience of prepping surfaces.
- Roughens aluminum surfaces with acid solution and steel wool to ensure paint adheres to surface.
- Paints insignia, letters or numerals on aircraft surface using stencils.
- Maintain a high standard of work in all tasks
- Complete the appropriate documentation
- Comply with all company procedures, policies, regulations and MOE
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment
- Ensure the company Health and Safety policy is adhered to
Requirements
- Must have extensive experience in vehicle or aviation painting
- Knowledge and use of special tools/equipment required to perform assigned job related tasks is mandatory
- Excellent spoken and written English is essential
- Willing to work shifts (including nights)
- Flexible approach to working in a fast changing environment
