JCAM is currently recruiting a Document Controller – Technical Records Administrator in Porto (OPO), Portugal.

This position involves a range of administrative tasks and handling of documentation. 
Most tasks will be typical of back-office operations and documentation related to maintenance activities, such as issuing work packages and assisting technical staff with technical records and associated documentation.
We are looking for candidates that have experience with technical paperwork and documentation. Ideally, you should be familiar with Part 145 MROs in a Base Maintenance environment and within EASA, although experience in any technical environment will be considered. Strong IT skills are essential (experience with AMOS software would represent a significant advantage), along with excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and fluency in English.
Main tasks for this role will be:
•Maintain accurate and up-to-date aircraft technical records.
•Collecting all paperwork, sorting, scanning and distributing it to relevant members of the Technical Records and CAMO Management departments for review.
•Conduct a Technical Logbook Check to ensure all documentation within the logbook is complete & accurate.
•Ensure all technical records are in compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
•Coordinate with maintenance personnel to verify the completion and accuracy of records.
•Assist in preparing for audits and inspections by compliance department and/or regulatory authorities.
•Use maintenance management software to monitor and report on aircraft status.
•Analyse data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
•Reports to Local Maintenance Management team.

Requirements

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant aviation qualification or certification is preferred.
  • Knowledge in maintenance management software (e.g., AMOS) would be desired.
  • Candidates will need to have a technical background experience ideally within the aviation industry.
  • Highly organized individual with the ability to balance multiple priorities and hit tight deadlines.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • Willing to work shift.
