Lauda Europe Ltd, a Maltese airline and part of the Ryanair Group, provides wet-lease and charter services across Europe. We are currently seeking a Management Accountant to join our Finance Team. This role can be based either in Malta (MLA) or Vienna (VIE).
About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and commercially minded Management Accountant to support our growing operations. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and proactive individual to advance their career in the aviation industry, working closely with senior and C-level management. The candidate will be responsible for analysing and presenting financial data across multiple business areas, ensuring robust monthly accounting controls, and contributing to strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Gather and analyse financial data for internal reporting and decision-making.
Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
Contribute to financial reporting and liaise with internal and external auditors.
Manage tight accounting deadlines effectively.
Evaluate company performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
Supervise and mentor junior team members.
Be flexible and willing to travel within our network as required.
Requirements
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent).
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role (e.g., Management Accountant or Accounting Supervisor).
Strong understanding of accounting principles, cost accounting, and financial reporting.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Proficient in budgeting, forecasting, and risk analysis.
Advanced skills in MS Excel and familiarity with financial software.
Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
