Description

Ryanair are currently recruiting for a EU Public Affairs Executive to join Europe’s largest airline group. 

This is an excellent time to join Ryanair as we look to grow to over 800 aircraft and 300m guests per year within the next 10 years.

The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic team that is responsible for Ryanair’s public policy and government relations both with the EU institutions in Brussels, and national Governments. The successful candidate will be based in Ryanair’s Brussels Office. Working within a multinational team, the successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Monitor legislative proposals, relevant issues and decisions that affect Ryanair; 
  • Develop and advocate public policy positions at EU and national level;
  • Prepare briefing materials, position papers and presentations for decision makers, regulators and senior management; 
  • Assist in the development of Ryanair’s public affairs strategy; 
  • Develop and maintain network with policymakers at European and national level;
  • Represent Ryanair in meetings with decision makers and trade associations;
  • Arrange outreach and organise policy events;
  • Provide administrative support for the Ryanair Brussels office. 

Requirements

  • 3 – 4 years’ professional experience, preferably in the area of legal or public affairs;
  • Master’s degree in law, political science, international relations, or other relevant field;
  • Professional level spoken and written English and French;
  • Working knowledge of another language would be beneficial;
  • Knowledge of EU decision making processes, and of organisation of EU institutions;
  • Outstanding drafting skills;
  • Excellent organisational skills, in particular to manage multiple parallel work streams, and to identify which need to be prioritised;
  • Experience in the aviation and / or transport sector would be an advantage.
