The Role:

We are looking for an experienced Azure Cloud Engineer to join our data team. In this role, you will work closely with data engineers, data scientists, and analysts to design and maintain scalable data solutions on the Azure platform. You’ll ensure our data infrastructure is secure, efficient, and capable of handling complex data workflows, analytics, and storage needs.

 

Key Responsibilities

· Design, deploy, and maintain Azure-based data infrastructure solutions that support data processing and analytics.

· Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to implement scalable data pipelines and ETL processes in Azure.

· Optimize data storage solutions using Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL Database, and Synapse Analytics

· Manage ETL Pipeline using tool such as Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Databricks

· Monitor and optimize data solutions for performance, security, and cost-efficiency.

· Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support data workflows and infrastructure as code (IaC)

· Ensure data security and compliance, implementing best practices in data governance, encryption, and access management.

· Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Azure data services and applications.

 

Requirements

Skills and Experience Required

· Proven experience with Azure data services, including Data Lake, Synapse Analytics, and Azure SQL.

· Experience with data processing tools such as Azure Data Factory (ADF).

· Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.

· Strong understanding of database and data warehousing concepts and their application in Azure.

· Scripting skills (Python, PowerShell, or SQL) for data processing and automation.

· Knowledge of security best practices for data, including encryption, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Azure Security Centre.

· Experience in CI/CD pipeline creation for data applications using Azure DevOps.

· Knowledge about Networking in Azure is a plus.

 

Preferred Qualifications

 

· Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert
