Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Deputy Head of Digital and Product to join Europe’s largest airline group. 

This is an excellent time to join Ryanair as we look to grow to over 800 aircraft and 300m guests per year within the next 10 years. 

We’re looking for a hands-on Deputy Head of Digital and Product to support in shaping and delivering the development roadmap across app, web, and other digital channels. This role will oversee a team of Product Managers responsible for delivering new features, projects, and improvements, primarily across web and app. This will suit someone with a hands-on Product/Project Management background that likes to develop strong knowledge of their products and has an action orientated approach to moving projects forward in a fast-paced environment. So, if you are passionate about transforming and defining the future travel experience for our customers, we want to hear from you.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Head of Product & Design and business stakeholders to refine and drive the product vision translating into a prioritised backlog of projects for the team.
  • Manage team of 5 and the day-to-day business priorities for the Product Managers.
  • Drive productivity and outputs of the team.
  • Work relentlessly with your team to ensure next milestones in projects are clear, have the necessary focus and that progress is communicated regularly and effectively.
  • Build and maintain strong and balanced teams that know their products, business metrics and business challenges/opportunities in detail.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the business to make sure project goals and outcomes align with project objectives.
  • Where needed, unblock weekly challenges that arise and work with business and team to rapidly identify solutions and co-ordinate and communicate response.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of emerging trends and innovations from industry leaders in the digital space and help translate into opportunities for the business.
  • Issue memos and presentations that concisely communicate goals and achievements..

Requirements

  • Experienced in working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience managing Digital or Product teams in a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to define and drive product development across more than one team.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills.
  • Experience in line managing and guiding direct reports and conducting performance reviews.
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to present concepts and ideas.
  • Able to sort through ambiguity to provide clear steps forward for projects and team members.
  • Roll up your sleeves and tackle problems with a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail.
  • Task orientated with strong multi-task’s ability.
