Description

Ryanair is currently recruiting for an Lead Avionics Engineer in our Technical Services department to join Europe’s Largest Airline Group. 


This is a very exciting time to join Ryanair as we look to expand our operation to 800 aircraft and 300 million guests within the next 10 years.
Engineering Technical Services provides support to the Ryanair Group fleet of Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft through a multitude of Continuing Airworthiness activities while providing assistance to the operation.

Reporting to the Avionics Manager, you will support the manager and team of engineers to ensure the department successfully delivers its core objectives, which include the following:

 

  • Deputize for your manager and provide subject matter expertise on all Avionics items.
  • Provide a detailed review of Service Bulletins and Airworthiness Directives relating to Avionics.
  • Control fleet software configuration.
  • Liaise with Boeing, Airbus and other OEM’s on resolution of technical issues. 
  • Provide technical support to Maintrol, Base Maintenance and Line Maintenance, across Ryanair Network.
  • Support the Reliability section in the identification and resolution of repetitive failures across the fleet. 
  • Creating technical reports in support of issues (e.g. Incidents; Significant Defects)
  • Complete of ad-hoc tasks assigned as and when necessary by the Chief Engineer or Tech Services Management.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years’ experience in a similar/relevant role.
  • Detailed technical knowledge of Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 avionics systems.
  • Strong leadership skills.
  • Flexible approach with project delivery being a high priority.
  • Strong commercial awareness.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail in multi-tasking situations and the ability to deliver results to tight timelines.
