AZUL HANDLING, in co-operation with our partner airline RYANAIR, is currently looking for a GROUND OPERATIONS CONTROLLER in our OCC Department in our Head Office team in Seville, Spain.

Based in our Head Office in Seville, the successful candidate will work in our Operations Control Center. This is an excellent opportunity to join Europe’s leading airline and to gain experience in a busy working environment. This role involves shift work. Reporting to the OCC Lead Agent, as a GROUND OPERATIONS CONTROLLER (GOPS) your duties will include (but not limited to):

  • Point of contact and direction to all airports in our network
  • Identify, highlight and immediately resolve areas of under-performance by airports
  • Authorisation of invoices for ad-hoc ground handling and timely EU261 care following immediate disruption
  • Ensure that Ryanair policies, procedures and contractual agreements are being adhered to
  • Arrange ad-hoc Crew HOTAC & Ground Transport
  • Ensure that all Ryanair information systems are correctly updated where appropriate
  • Develop and production of reports in an accurate and timely manner to extract and collect required data according to the business needs
  • Coordinate and produce informative reports between Ryanair, airports and Azul Handling on key performance areas such as punctuality, cancelations, operational improvement, safety and security audits, or any other as required by the business needs
  • Other duties as requested by OCC Lead Agent/Ops Control Management/Azul Management


  • Fluent Spanish and English required
  • Demonstrated previous experience in OCC and/or or airport/handling/airline operations department (2+ years)
  • A high degree of flexibility will be required, and the successful candidate should possess
  • The ability to work and communicate effectively under pressure
  • Good problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Good interpersonal skills and strong outgoing personality
  • Be knowledgeable and put into practice the Cultural Identity of the company, The Azul Way!
  • Proven ability to work under pressure
  • A good telephone manner
  • Computer knowledge advanced (MS Word, Excel)
  • Available to live in Seville
