Description

Ryanair are currently recruiting for a Commercial Product Manager to join Europe’s largest airline group.

This is an exciting time to join Ryanair as we look to grow to over 800 aircraft and 300m guests within the next 10 years. 

From negotiating airport contracts, managing our fares and optimising our route and flight schedule, our Commercial Department is central to everything we do as an airline. This new role will be responsible for overseeing the development and delivery of our commercial planning tools, which are key to our strategic planning cycles and optimising performance across the Commercial Department.

This role reports directly to the Director of Network Optimisation and is a  permanent position based in our Swords HQ.

Duties include but not limited to:

 

  • Generate ideas / initiatives to improve our commercial planning tools and optimisation techniques through analysis and research, both within Ryanair and externally.
  • Prioritise new and existing initiatives to ensure best alignment to our overall commercial strategy and outcomes.
  • Work closely with LABs (Ryanair’s tech team) to roadmap the prioritised initiatives, improve our use of data, better leverage our vast data resources, and drive better commercial outcomes.
  • Be the key interface between the Commercial Department and LABs to coordinate testing and rollout of new product features.
  • Assume responsibility for the analysis and measurement of new and existing product features and suggest improvements / course corrections as appropriate.
  • Embody a continuous improvement mindset, constantly looking for ways to improve our commercial planning tools and enhance our performance optimisations. 

Requirements

While we are open to candidates with different backgrounds and experience. However a typical good fit would have the following background and capabilities:

  • 3-5 years’ relevant product manager experience
  • Highly analytical and numerate with demonstrable commercial acumen.
  • Happy to work in a fast-paced environment, balancing priorities and working to deadlines.
  • Attentive to detail but also able to think at a higher, more strategic level.
  • Strong sense of ownership, willing to see things through from idea to execution.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
